How do I join
To be eligible to join the Scheme a Brother must be a subscribing First Affiliate member of a Valencian Lodge and below the age of 70 years at commencement. It is a condition of the Scheme that he remain a subscribing member of a Valencian Lodge for at least 3 (three) years after his date of joining. If, after those three years, he should leave masonry within the Province of Valencia, he may remain in the scheme for as long as the annual membership fee is paid.
Can non-Masons join
The wife or partner of an eligible Brother may also apply to join the plan if they meet the age criteria.
Am I covered from the very start
There is a qualifying period of 1 (one) year before the applicant may benefit from the scheme. This means that no funeral provision will be available during the first year, i.e. from the date of joining on 1st October to the 30th of September the following year.
Can I leave
If a Brother or his partner leaves Spain after they have been in the scheme for 3 (three) years, he/they may remain members of the Scheme for as long as the premiums continue to be paid. In these circumstances and upon death, the claim will be met in accordance with the Golden Leaves rules.
This is strictly a life interest scheme and there will be no refund of any sort, joining fee or subscription, should members leave the scheme or fail to pay the annual premium. How can I be sure that the plan is secure
The plan is underwritten by Golden Leaves, a market leader in funeral plans and is run in accordance with all required financial and contractual guidelines. It has been running since 2001 and has always delivered its obligations and has grown from strength to strength.
